Liz Trueblood works as Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary's advisory council coordinator and as a member of the outreach and education team. She coordinates all operations of the sanctuary advisory council, oversees the Blue Star learning management system, and supports a number of other education and outreach efforts. She is a passionate environmental educator and interpreter, and loves to share her enthusiasm and knowledge of marine resources with Florida Keys visitors and residents alike.

Prior to joining the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary staff, Trueblood spent seven years as a park ranger with the Florida Park Service where she participated in a wide variety of resource management and interpretive projects, including coordinating the marker and mooring buoy program for John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Trueblood received her bachelor's in biology from St. Mary's College of Maryland. She is an avid nature lover, and can be found hiking, camping, and enjoying the water every chance she gets.
